I’m really glad I had the camera on me this week. It was a difficult week. Oscar was off school, Alicia was in Bologna for a few days. Difficult news at work meant that things all felt a bit much. Sleep suffered.
I’m glad I had the camera because, looking back over the week, it was filled with happy moments. Oscar and I have really enjoyed playing Monopoly Deal over coffee before starting the day. Ethan got to celebrate his birthday all over again, this time in the UK. We were all glad to have Alicia back.
Small moment of pride as Ethan made his first attempt to cycle by himself over the weekend. We are one step closer to that first family bike ride. For a family without a car, this will be a big milestone.
Week in Pictures

first day on the balance bike - having shown no interest before our trip to China, Ethan has come back determined to learn to ride

art by an orangutan - the boys were super excited to fill their grandparents in on all the weird and wonderful things they saw in China

monopoly deal - we played a couple of games each morning before I started work and it was interesting to see Oscar try to determine my strategy and the counter it with differing strategies of his own

and the rains came - ’light rain’ it said

on the trails - with the trip to nursery nailed, Ethan was keen to try more challenging terrain

family time - it’s rare that we all sit down to watch TV, Shaun the Sheep was a hangover from the long haul flight but it had them all in stitches

bike trip - by Sunday Ehtan was really pushing the distance on the bike, he’s loving it
