The web does not need a consistent look and feel. It never has and it never will. This quote from Adam sums it up.

If you want to tell the world about something, make a page for it. The page you make is not shitty, it has character, personality, and authenticity. You cared enough to make it and that alone says a lot. Your page is never finished, that’s OK. let it grow, let it evolve, let it be messy. If you are pushed for time, give us plain, structured HTML. Don’t have your favourite language model spit out thousands of lines of CSS and JavaScript that looks the same as a growing portion of the web.
